At Everton Football Club we take the security of our supporters and those fans visiting our ground with the highest level of importance.
When attending Goodison Park please be aware that a number of security measures are in place to protect and reassure all supporters. These include but are not limited to the following:
- You may be approached by staff and spoken to.
- All bags will be searched, only small bags are allowed in the stadium and we do not have a left luggage facility. Please plan ahead if you are travelling long distances or staying in the City.
- Search dogs will be on duty at the stadium.
- Supporters are subject to a search and entry process, please arrive in good time to facilitate this process.
All Everton staff and our colleagues at Merseyside Police are focussed on the security of all and we encourage all fans to allow them to go about their business quickly and efficiently.
Merseyside Police have issued the below advice:
"We urge the public to remain alert but not alarmed - the police service and our partners are doing everything we can to help protect the security of our communities, public institutions, critical national infrastructure, and businesses and places of interest.
"Our security measures and activities are under constant review to reflect where the threats exist and the level of threat we are facing.
"The latest guidance on recognising the terrorist threat and remaining vigilant can be accessed via www.nactso.gov.uk
"Be vigilant. If you suspect it, report it. Nobody is better placed to detect something that is out of place in their communities than the people living in them.
"We would encourage you, if you do see any suspicious activity, to call the Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321, or in an emergency the public should always call 999. For further information about reporting suspicious behaviour click here."
